TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING. BY REGISTERING, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING
All persons registering for any of the above Tickets are subject to the Ticket Terms and Conditions.
Anyone participating in the Competition is also subject to the Competition General Rules.
'Ticket' = Solo Competition Participant Pass (SCPP) / Ensemble Competition Participant Pass (ECPP)
'Holder' / 'Participant' = Anyone who holds a Ticket
'Festival' = Marimbafest 2021 event
'Competition' = Marimbafest 2021 Solo & Ensemble Competition
'Actively participate' = Fully participating in a class as a Participant
'Passively participate' = Observing a class i.e. cannot perform or have any one-to-one interaction other than general Q&A
2. Changes To Rules In The Event Of COVID-19 Cancellation
Any Ticket listed as 'non-refundable' below will be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation due to COVID-19 restrictions. Marimbafest Australia and the UWA Conservatorium of Music will follow all necessary precautions as required.
3. General Ticket Rules
All tickets, once issued, are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
It is the Holder's responsibility to attend the Festival. Failure to do so will not result in a refund being issued.
Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash or for another kind of Ticket.
Participants may hold either an individual SCPP or ECPP, or may also hold both an SCPP and an ECPP.
Tickets do not include accommodation or food expenses.
Accommodation and food must be booked and organised separately by the Participant.
Early Bird pricing expires on 1 March 2021, at which point Ticket pricing will increase to $150 / $100 for SCPP and ECPP respectively.
Registrations will close on 15 May 2021. No late registrations will be accepted.
4. Solo Competition Participant Pass (SCPP) Rules
SCPP is non-refundable and non-transferrable, and requires registration using the form.
SCPP is for one person only.
SCPP allows its Holder to become a Participant.
You can only hold one (1) SCPP. You may hold an ECPP as well, but only one (1) of each.
The SCPP Participant may participate and compete in the Solo Competition.
5. Ensemble Competition Participant Pass (ECPP) Rules
ECPP is non-refundable and non-transferrable, and requires registration using the form.
ECPP is for one person only, who is a member of an Ensemble made up of at least two (2) ECPP Participants and no more than ten (10) ECPP Participants.
ECPP allows its Holder to become a Participant.
You can only hold one (1) ECPP. You may hold an SCPP as well, but only one (1) of each.
The ECPP Participant may participate and compete in the Ensemble Competition.
6. Single Entry Pass Rules
Single Entry Pass can only be purchased at the door. It is non-refundable and for one person only.
You may hold as many Single Entry Passes as you require.
A Single Entry Pass allows its Holder to passively participate in one (1) masterclass of their choice as an observer.
Once used for entry, the Single Entry Pass immediately becomes void.
If the Holder has used their Single Entry Pass and wishes to attend another class, they must purchase another Single Entry Pass.
Single Entry Pass cannot be used to participate in Competition events or to actively participate in classes.
The Single Entry Pass cannot be used to attend the Opening Reception.
7. Ticket Holder's Good Standing
Marimbafest Australia reserves the right to void or cancel any Participant's Ticket if they are deemed to be engaging in
disrespectful, disruptive, unlawful, abusive, threatening or any other offensive behaviour during or before the Festival.
Any individuals seen to be engaging in disrespectful, disruptive, unlawful, abusive, threatening or any other offensive behaviour towards any party
will be subject to immediate removal from the Festival.
8. Cancellation and No-Show
If a Ticket Holder does not show up to all events, they are not entitled to any refund or discount.
Cancellations will not result in a refund given unless caused by COVID-19 restrictions (as above).
The Festival may also be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disaster, man-made emergency etc. In this situation, refunds will be given.
9. Other Conditions
Marimbafest Australia reserves the right to amend any of the above terms and conditions as required.
Marimbafest Australia takes no responsibility for any damages or adverse action caused by Participants whilst on campus.
Any Participant behaviour that causes damage or adverse effects will be the responsibility of the Participant.
