Do you only want to watch the concerts?
NO TICKET NEEDED if you just want to watch any of the three FREE Marimbafest public concerts: the Artist Concert (Friday), the Grand Concert (Saturday) and the Gala Concert (Sunday). You don't need to register - just come!
Do you only want to watch certain classes?
If you're only interested in seeing one or two classes, or are on a budget, then our SINGLE ENTRY PASS is for you! All Marimbafest workshops can be observed passively by any non-participants for just $30 per person per workshop. You don't need to register for this option. Simply buy the SINGLE ENTRY PASS at the door of the workshop you wish to go to!
Are you only interested in the Marimba Competition?
If you just want to participate in our Open Marimba Competition and not attend any classes, our affordable COMPETITION ONLY PASS is for you! This lets you participate fully in the Competition, where you will perform solo and potentially win some prizes. You will also receive feedback on your performance from our judging panel to help you with your development as a player. Register below to sign up for the COMPETITION ONLY PASS!
Do you want the full Marimbafest festival experience? (Recommended option)
If you want to get the most out of Marimbafest, we highly recommend our most comprehensive ticket option, the FESTIVAL PASS! The FESTIVAL PASS allows you to enjoy all of Marimbafest as a festival participant.
Learn new things about marimba performance and composition by actively participating in all intensive masterclasses and workshops. Showcase your skills and potentially win prizes by participating in the Open Marimba Competition. Rehearse intensively with faculty and perform in public concerts alongside your fellow participants in the Marimbafest Festival Ensemble. Find out more about your playing with a private lesson with the faculty of your choice. You can do all this and more with the FESTIVAL PASS.

TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING. BY REGISTERING, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING
All persons registering for any of the above Tickets are subject to the Ticket Terms and Conditions.
Anyone participating in the Competition is also subject to the Competition General Rules.
1. Definitions
'Ticket' = In-Person Solo Participant (ISP), In-Person Ensemble Participant (IEP), Online Solo Participant (OSP), Online Ensemble Participant (OEP)
'Holder' / 'Participant' = Anyone who holds a Ticket
'Festival' = Marimbafest 2022 week from Sunday 3rd July 2022 to Friday 8th July 2022
'Competition' = Marimbafest 2022 Solo & Ensemble Competition
2. Changes To Rules In The Event Of COVID-19 Related Events
Any Ticket listed as 'non-refundable' below will be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation due to mandated COVID-19 restrictions or other COVID-19 related reasons, such as Participants, Faculty or Staff being required to self-isolate as per WA Health rules.
All participants will switch to full online participation (In-Person tickets switch to Online) in the event of a major COVID-19 event that prevents in-person participation from happening safely.
3. General Ticket Rules
All tickets, once issued, are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
It is the Holder's responsibility to attend the Festival. Failure to do so will not result in a refund being issued.
Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash or for another kind of Ticket.
Participants may hold either an individual
Tickets do not include accommodation or food expenses.
Accommodation and food must be booked and organised separately by the Participant.
Early Bird pricing expires on 1 April 2022, at which point all Ticket pricing will increase by 25%.
Registrations will close on 15 May 2022. No late registrations will be accepted.
4. In-Person and Online Rules
In-Person participation options are available to everyone.
Online participation options are only available for non-WA residents, including residents of other Australian States and Territories, and overseas countries.
In-Person Participants cannot also purchase Online tickets for either category.
Online Participants cannot also purchase In-Person tickets for either category.
In-Person Participants will participate at all events live in-person during Marimbafest Week at the UWA Conservatorium of Music.
Online Participants will participate through video submissions and Zoom for masterclasses during Marimbafest Week.
Online Participants are responsible for any potential time zone changes between their State/Territory/Country and Western Australia.
5. In-Person Solo Participant (ISP) Rules
ISP Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and requires registration using the form.
ISP Tickets are for one person only.
ISP Tickets allow its Holder to become a Participant.
You can only hold one (1) ISP Ticket. You may hold an IEP Ticket as well, but only one (1) of each.
The ISP may participate and compete in the Solo Competition in-person at the UWA Conservatorium of Music.
The ISP may participate in-person at all activities during Marimbafest Week, including masterclasses, concerts and more.
The ISP will be able to access in-person amenities, such as complimentary lunches on certain days.
The ISP will receive their prizes (if won) and gifts in-person.
6. Online Solo Participant (OSP) Rules
OSP Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and requires registration using the form.
OSP Tickets are for one person only.
OSP Tickets allow its Holder to become a Participant.
You can only hold one (1) OSP. You may hold an OEP as well, but only one (1) of each.
The OSP Participant may participate and compete in the Solo Competition online through video submission.
The OSP may participate online at all activities during Marimbafest Week, including masterclasses, concerts and more.
The ISP will receive their prizes (if won) and gifts by post.
7. In-Person Ensemble Participant (IEP) Rules
IEP Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and requires registration using the form.
IEP Tickets are for one person who is a member of an ensemble (2-10 people).
Every member of each in-person ensemble must purchase one (1) IEP Ticket each.
IEP Tickets allow its Holder to become a Participant.
You can only hold one (1) IEP Ticket. You may hold an ISP Ticket as well, but only one (1) of each.
The IEP may participate and compete in the Solo Competition in-person at the UWA Conservatorium of Music.
The IEP will be able to access in-person amenities, such as complimentary lunches on certain days.
The IEP will receive their prizes (if won) and gifts in-person.
8. Online Ensemble Participant (OEP) Rules
OEP Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable, and requires registration using the form.
OEP Tickets are for one person who is a member of an ensemble (2-10 people).
Every member of each online ensemble must purchase one (1) OEP Ticket each.
OEP Tickets allow its Holder to become a Participant.
You can only hold one (1) OEP Ticket. You may hold an OSP Ticket as well, but only one (1) of each.
The OEP may participate and compete in the Solo Competition online through video submission.
The OEP may participate online at all activities during Marimbafest Week, including masterclasses, concerts and more.
The OEP will receive their prizes (if won) and gifts by post.
9. Non-Participants Accompanying Participants Under The Age Of 18
Participants under 18 who are attending in-person will be permitted to have one (1) parent or guardian present with them throughout Marimbafest's participant-exclusive activities (e.g. masterclasses, amenities, warmup and soundcheck sessions).
For the Opening Reception, Participants under 18 may bring up to two (2) parents and/or guardians.
Participants who are under 18 but do not need parental supervision must ensure they sign a duty of care waiver upon registration.
10. Ticket Holder's Good Standing
Marimbafest Australia reserves the right to void or cancel any Participant's Ticket if they are deemed to be engaging in
disrespectful, disruptive, unlawful, abusive, threatening or any other offensive behaviour during or before the Festival.
Any individuals seen to be engaging in disrespectful, disruptive, unlawful, abusive, threatening or any other offensive behaviour towards any party
will be subject to immediate removal from the Festival.
Marimbafest Australia reserves the right to void or cancel any Participant's Ticket if COVID-19 COVIDSafe Rules (section 11) are found to be broken by any Participants.
11. COVID-19 COVIDSafe Rules
The following rules are applicable from 3rd March 2022 and apply to all Participants who are attending In-Person (ISP and IEP).
All In-Person Participants must show proof of full vaccination when registered.
This can be shown in the form of a COVID-19 Digital Certificate from ServiceWA, or any of the other valid forms of proof of vaccination available on the WA Health website.
'Full vaccination' definition may change when closer to the event, so the above definition of 'full vaccination' is the definition that applies on 3rd July 2022.
If you are deemed a close contact for COVID-19 or are unwell with symptoms of COVID-19, you must self-isolate and not attend the event.
Please see Section 2 for refund rules in this situation.
All In-Person Participants, Faculty and Staff must wear properly fitting face masks at all times whenever on University campus grounds, unless exemptions apply.
The face mask rule applies to any performers on stage. Solo presenters for classes may remove their mask for clarity of speech.
All In-Person Participants, Faculty and Staff must sign in using ServiceWA/SafeWA upon entry of all University venues.
All In-Person audience members must also abide by the above rules.
11. Cancellation and No-Show
If a Ticket Holder does not show up to all events, they are not entitled to any refund or discount.
Cancellations will not result in a refund given unless caused by COVID-19 restrictions (as above).
The Festival may also be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disaster, man-made emergency etc. In this situation, refunds will be given.
12. Other Conditions
Marimbafest Australia reserves the right to amend any of the above terms and conditions as required.
Marimbafest Australia takes no responsibility for any damages or adverse action caused by Participants whilst on campus.
Any Participant behaviour that causes damage or adverse effects will be the responsibility of the Participant.
